Nancy Kerrigan's brother Mark kerrigan charged with manslaughter

The brother of figure skater Nancy Kerrigan( won the bronze medal at the 1992 Olympics in Albertville, France, and the silver at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. She won a gold medal at the 1993 U.S. Championships) was charged with manslaughter in the death of their 70-year-old father in what prosecutors called a drunken rage during a trivial argument over use of the family telephone, the Middlesex district attorney's office said Thursday.

Mark Kerrigan, 45, was indicted by a Middlesex Superior Court grand jury in the Jan. 24 death of Daniel Kerrigan.

He had already been charged with assault and battery on an elderly person resulting in serious bodily injury. Since being released on bail after a psychiatric evaluation, he has been living with his mother in the family's Stoneham home, where the alleged assault took place.

Mark Kerrigan's "reckless actions and complete disregard for his father's safety and well-being" led to his death, District Attorney Gerry Leone said in announcing the indictment.

"This defendant should have known that the cruel acts that he committed against his elderly father, including grabbing him by the neck with enough force to cause a fracture, were highly likely to result in substantial harm and endanger his father's life," Leone said.

Members of the close-knit Kerrigan family have insisted they do not blame Mark Kerrigan for the death of his father, who had a pre-existing heart condition. They said in a statement Thursday that they were "deeply disappointed" in the decision to pursue a manslaughter charge.
They said they look forward "to the facts being considered by an impartial jury."
A state medical examiner said the cause of death was "cardiac dysrhythmia" — a loss or interruption of a normal heartbeat that can lead to cardiac arrest — after an altercation with neck compression that damaged his windpipe. The findings also noted that the elder Kerrigan had high blood pressure and clogged arteries.
Kerrigan is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn. The maximum sentence for manslaughter in Massachusetts is 20 years in prison.

Leone described a chaotic scene that unfolded over hours and climaxed with the violent clash between Daniel Kerrigan and a drunken Mark Kerrigan claiming his father was "faking it."

Police received a 911 call around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 on reports of an altercation between Mark Kerrigan and a female acquaintance, Leone said. The woman said Kerrigan wouldn't let her leave the house.

Daniel Kerrigan returned home to try to calm his son. Over the next six hours, Mark Kerrigan became drunk and repeatedly argued with his parents, trying to use the phone to contact the woman. He had already left more than a dozen messages on her cell phone, prosecutors said.

After midnight, Mark Kerrigan went into his parents' bedroom, screaming obscenities and yelling about the telephone not working, authorities said. They went to talk to their son downstairs, where the argument escalated into violence, with their son pushing, grabbing and shoving his father, with several pictures knocked off a wall, prosecutors said.

Mark Kerrigan grabbed his father around the neck, fracturing his larynx and causing him to fall to the floor on his back, unconscious, Leone said. Kerrigan's mother, Brenda, called 911; Mark Kerrigan is heard screaming obscenities at his father.

When police approached Mark Kerrigan, he swore at them as they attempted to subdue him. Once handcuffed, Kerrigan acknowledged the fight but told police his father was "faking it," Leone said.

Mark Kerrigan has a long criminal record, with convictions dating to 1991, including drunken driving, assault and battery, domestic assaults, resisting arrest and violation of a restraining order. His former lawyer said Kerrigan, an unemployed plumber, was on medication for post-traumatic stress syndrome and was seeing a psychiatrist.

Kerrigan's family has challenged the medical examiner's findings.

In a letter released in February, Nancy Kerrigan, a two-time Olympic medal winner, called the homicide ruling "unjustified" and said she and her family plan to "help my brother fight"

She was at the center of a saga at the U.S. Championships before the 1994 Games, when an assailant clubbed her right knee during practice and an investigation revealed rival Tonya Harding had knowledge of the planning of the attack.

Antimatter:new world

In particle physics, antimatter is the extension of the concept of the antiparticle to matter, where antimatter is composed of antiparticles in the same way that normal matter is composed of particles. For example, an antielectron (a positron, an electron with a positive charge) and an antiproton (a proton with a negative charge) could form an antihydrogen atom in the same way that an electron and a proton form a normal matter hydrogen atom. Furthermore, mixing matter and antimatter would lead to the annihilation of both in the same way that mixing antiparticles and particles does, thus giving rise to high-energy photons (gamma rays) or other particle–antiparticle pairs.

There is considerable speculation as to why the observable universe is apparently almost entirely matter, whether there exist other places that are almost entirely antimatter instead, and what might be possible if antimatter could be harnessed, but at this time the apparent asymmetry of matter and antimatter in the visible universe is one of the greatest unsolved problems in physics. The process by which this asymmetry between particles and antiparticles developed is called baryogenesis.

Space Junk : Removed in london

UK researchers have developed a device to clear dangerous space garbage from lower earth orbit.

After 50 years of space travel, more than 5,500 tonnes of junk is believed to be cluttering space around the planet. There's a risk of collision with spacecraft or of large items crashing back to earth; the debris is also believed to obstruct satellite television and other communications signals.

The University of Surrey scientists have devised a 3kg miniature satellite - or 'nanosatellite' - fitted with a solar sail which could trawl around in lower earth orbit to trap debris and bring it down safely.

They say the CubeSail could be fitted to satellites or launch vehicles and used to trap equipment that has reached the end of its mission. A prototype will be launched late next year.

"Protecting our planet and environment is key for sustainable growth. CubeSail is a novel, low cost space mission which will demonstrate for the first time space debris/satellite deorbiting using an ultra light 5 x 5m sail stowed and supported on a 3kg nanosatellite," said
Dr Vaios Lappas, lead researcher on the project.

"Following successful in orbit demonstration, the proposed deorbit system will be offered as a standard deorbit system for low earth orbit missions for satellites with a mass of less than 500kg at a very low cost."

CubeSail is due to be ready for launch on new satellites next year, and is expected to be available for shifting existing debris from 2013.

London, March 30 : A tiny three-kg satellite or "nanosatellite" will rid the space of dangerous clouds of junk hurtling around in the earth's lower orbit.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin Said:No more delays on nuclear plant in Iran

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has announced on the day of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton's arrival that a Russian-built nuclear plant in Iran will be started up despite a request from the United States for a delay.

Bill Clinton did not criticize the long-delayed project directly but said the Obama administration opposes the timing of the nuclear plant's startup. Clinton sees Putin today.

The United States and European Union countries suspect Iran is using a civilian nuclear program to make an atomic bomb.

They question the need for nuclear power given that Iran has the world's fourth-largest oil reserves and has no industrial need for additional power from nuclear plants.

At a news conference with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Clinton said that although Iran is entitled to the peaceful use of nuclear energy, it must reassure the world it is not trying to build a nuclear weapon.

"In the absence of those reassurances, we think it would be premature to go forward with any project at this time, because we want to send an unequivocal message to the Iranians," she said.

The United States and European Union countries suspect Iran is using a civilian nuclear program to make an atomic bomb.

They question the need for nuclear power given that Iran has the world's fourth-largest oil reserves and has no industrial need for additional power from nuclear plants.

Lavrov asserted that, whatever the U.S. concerns, his country will finish its work on the Bushehr nuclear power plant shortly.

"The project will be completed," Lavrov said. "We are now in the final stage, and this nuclear power plant will be launched."

Lavrov said U.S.-Russian negotiations on a treaty to reduce long-range nuclear weapons are close to completion.

The accord would replace the 1991 Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or START, which expired in December.

Lavrov said the two countries are discussing the time and place for President Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to sign the deal, which must be ratified by each country's legislature.

"We are now at the finish line," Lavrov said.

Clinton was a bit more circumspect.

"We have a saying in the United States: Don't count your chickens before they hatch," she said. "And that means that we are beginning our discussions."

Daylight Saving Time: Coming to A Clock near You

This weekend is the annual rite of spring -- springing forward and advancing the clock one hour.

For some, daylight saving time cheats them out of an hour of sleep. For others, daylight saving time means more time in the afternoon to savor the sunshine.
Doctors agree that it does take time for the human body to adjust to the change.

"It turns out that it takes up 2-3 days sometimes even longer to make up and adjust to that extra hour loss," said Dr. Sonia Ancoli-Israel of the University of California San-Diego School of Medicine.
"I go out on Friday night so I don't lose the hour," she said. "Actually, I really like it because especially this time of year with the weather and getting the extra hour of daylight."

Lora Tjomstol knows all about daylight saving time. Her birthday is March 12, and it forces her to navigate weekend plans around the time change.

According to CBS News, there are other impacts. The number of serious heart attacks increases 6 to 10 percent on the first three workdays after the change.

Also, Wall Street economists say sleep deprived traders often produce large negative returns on that Monday.

The Florida Highway Patrol is also warning drivers and pedestrians to be especially careful on the Monday morning commute to work or school. It will likely be dark and everyone needs to pay close attention to the roads.

The Broward Sheriff's Office also reminds everyone that an annual date like daylight saving time is the perfect opportunity to ensure smoke alarms are in good working condition.

Student loans should be in healthcare package:Nancy Pelosi

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Friday the final version of a broad healthcare overhaul would include a revamp of the student loan program but not a government-run health insurance option.

Nancy Pelosi said"the House could take up the final changes to the overhaul within a week as congressional leaders launch a final push to pass President Barack Obama's top legislative priority."

Barak Obama has chosen organizations to receive his Nobel Peace Prize money

Washington, D.C. -- President Barack Obama has made good on a promise to give his $1.4 million in Nobel Peace Prize money to charity.

On Thursday, Obama released the names of the organizations that will benefit, among them the Central Asia Institute, which promotes girls’ education in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The institute was co-founded by Greg Mortenson — humanitarian, two-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee and New York Times best-selling author — who spoke earlier this month in Auburn.

Mortenson and his organizations, Pennies for Peace and the Central Asia Institute, have built more than 131 schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan. According to his Web site, gregmortenson.com, more than 58,000 children have been educated through these schools. His visit was part of the Auburn Education Foundation’s Inspiring Speaker Series.

Obama put Fisher House, an organization that provides housing for the families of those being treated at major military and Veterans Affairs medical centers, at the top of the list with a $250,000 donation. Fisher House was followed by the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, the project his two immediate predecessors are running to raise money for relief and reconstruction efforts in Haiti, which will get $200,000. The Central Asia Institute will receive $100,000, according to Reuters News Service.

“These organizations do extraordinary work in the United States and abroad helping students, veterans and countless others in need,” Obama said in a statement. “I’m proud to support their work.”

White House officials said that the money would go directly from the Nobel Committee to the charities and that it would be released in the next few days

Nobel Prize:2010 Nomination in internet

If some people have their way, you could be the winner of this year's Nobel Peace Prize. "You" in this case being used broadly to mean the billions of people who log online daily.
The Nobel Institute, which awards the annual prize, does not release the list of nominees, but nominators sometimes announce their selections.
Nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize are not open to the public. Only a select group of people, including previous laureates, members of national governments and select university members and scientists, can nominate candidates for future prizes.
Some groups have been advocating the Internet for the prize for months, but the nomination was officially accepted only this week, during the first meeting of the Norwegian Nobel Committee on March 9.

Yes, the Internet is one of a record 237 nominations for the coveted prize this year.

According to the BBC, the Internet submission was backed by Shirin Ebadi, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2003 for her human rights work, and by Nicholas Negroponte, founder of the $100 laptop project, One Laptop per Child.

The Internet nomination is also heavily backed by the Italian version of Wired magazine, which last November launched the Web site "Internet for Peace" to raise awareness for the campaign.

A statement on the Web site calls the Internet "a tool for peace." Anyone who uses it "can sow the seeds of non-violence. And that's why the next Nobel Peace Prize should go to the Net. A Nobel for each and every one of us."

The prize will be awarded on Oct. 8, and will include a cash award of $1.4 million.

If the Internet were to actually win this year's Nobel Peace Prize, it would not be the first non-human winner.

The 1965 prize went to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF); the 1985 prize was awarded to the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War; and the 2007 prize was split between Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Al Gore for their efforts to counteract global warming.

The Internet nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize is similar to Time magazine's dedication of its Person of the Year issue to "You"

U.S.A Court approves God for US money

SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) – A federal appeals court in California ruled that the references to God on US bank notes and in the pledge of allegiance to the US flag are constitutional and not religious in nature.

By a two-to-one margin, the three judges overturned their own 2002 ruling that sided with atheist Michael Newdow's complaint that the God mentions established religion and violated the constitutionally mandated separation of church and state"We hold it does not -- the pledge is constitutional," said the majority ruling, referring to the vow of allegiance made by children in public schools every morning to the US flaghe panel's decision applies equally to the phrase, "In God we trust," printed on every US bank note and coin in circulation.

"The pledge of allegiance serves to unite our vast nation through the proud recitation of some of the ideals upon which our Republic was founded and for which we continue to strive," the two judges said.

The lone dissenter argued however that the majority's were wrong in asserting that the words "under God" found in the 1954 amendment to the pledge. It were simply a reference to the limited powers of the federal government.the dissenting judge said"That is, of course, an argument dreamt up by my colleagues that can nowhere be found in the congressional record."
"My colleagues have apparently forgotten that it is the Constitution that sets forth the limitations on government power -- not, as far as our laws are concerned, God," the judge added.

Michael Phelps hits to Vancouver, final Olympics for him

The most decorated athlete in Olympic history began a five-day trip to Vancouver by making a little news of his own. Michael Phelps told reporters that the 2012 London Olympics will be his last and that he won't attempt to repeat his eight-gold-medal performance in two years.

"I told myself I will not swim over the age of 30, and I will not swim over the age of 30," he said.

Phelps will be 27 at the London Olympics. He has won 14 gold medals in his career, five more than any other athlete. Though he didn't specifically say how many events he'd do in London, five or six would be the most likely (three relays plus two or three individual events).

Usually you can take athlete promises with a grain of salt — BRETT FAVRE — "Phelps strikes me as the kind of guy who will stay retired. Swimming is a sport for the young and a 31-year-old competing in the Olympics against 19-year-olds doesn't sound like an enviable task, even for the greatest in the history of the sport. Yet, Phelps didn't say he was retiring immediately after London. Could he stick around long enough to lure him back into the pool in 2016?"

If anything, I'd bet more on Phelps coming back in 2020 than in 2016. Imagine that story: Out of the pool for eight years, the greatest Olympic champion returns for one event. That's the stuff from which lucrative endorsement deals are made.

After arriving in the host city of the 2010 Winter Games, Phelps took in a hockey game and took part in some sponsorship events with Canadian gold medalist Alexandre Bilodeau. Before he leaves on Monday he hopes to see Apolo Ohno race in short-track speedskating

Tiger Woods returns

When the world last saw Tiger Woods, he was celebrating a dominating win at the Australian Masters and basking in the cheers of an entire continent.

It's just three months later, but already those scenes seem a relic of a past we'll never see again, as dated as old VHS tapes of Michael Jordan in a Bulls uniform. Less than two weeks after that Australian victory, the National Enquirer published allegations that Woods had been conducting an extramarital affair. One mysterious small-hours single-car wreck later, the entire carefully-constructed web that Woods had constructed around himself unraveled with stunning speed. Woods fell farther and faster from public grace than any celebrity in memory, tumbling overnight from icon to punch line.

Now he's preparing to make his first public appearance since the events of Thanksgiving, his first public statements not related via website. And while the arrangement of his Friday press conference -- limited media, no questions, close associates at his side -- would seem to indicate that Tiger still believes he can control his own image and destiny, the truth is that Woods is returning to a golf world that bears little resemblance to the one he left in November.

Certainly, he'll find solace and success on the course. Whether he's been practicing or not -- reports vary from "he's hit the driving ranges at night" to "he hasn't picked up a club since Thanksgiving" -- he's still in the prime of his career, and has the talent to win tournament after tournament, major after major.

But talent alone isn't the issue. Woods' mystique -- that of the infallible, indomitable supergolfer -- is gone, vanished along with the myth of his fidelity to his family. No longer will Woods enjoy a stranglehold on the minds of his fellow golfers; no longer will they simply fall apart just because he's charging up the leaderboard at them. He's a man, just like they are, and he can fall short like anyone else.

Woods also has several other parties who won't be regarding him with the same adoring eyes. The sponsors who stayed with him understand what they're getting into by having him as an endorser, obviously, and are willing to make that commitment. But anyone looking to back Woods now has to cast a careful eye at the bottom line -- any marketing slogan tied to Woods' name now can be reinterpreted in a thousand unflattering ways. More importantly, potential sponsors will see how Woods treated Accenture, the first sponsor to drop him, by making his announcement right in the middle of Accenture's major tournament and thus torpedoing them right off the front page. Is it worth striking a deal with Tiger knowing that if he turns on you, he'll go scorched-earth?

The media's role in Woods' ascent and descent will be a case study for years to come. But what's undeniable is that Woods has tried -- and, until November, succeeded -- in bending the media to his will. He revealed none of himself to the world, trafficking in boring cliches, and any time he was pushed, he'd simply freeze out the offending media member -- in the golf world, a fate worse than death.

Since the revelations of infidelity, some media members have de facto defended him by remaining silent on the matter, but many more have finally expressed disgust with how he's treated them for all these years. The fact that talk of a boycott of Woods' press conference because of the lack of questions actually saw light on Twitter is in itself astonishing; anyone who'd suggested such a thing even last year would have found him- or herself permanently on the outs with Tiger. But the golf media has been pushed around long enough by Tiger and his team, and -- perhaps emboldened by the kamikaze style of the tabloids -- many are ready to start pushing back.

There's also the matter of the fans. Many out there are just happy to see Woods return; they're not interested in the tabloid side of his life, they simply want to watch him pound golf balls. For them, their interest in Woods stops with his last Sunday putt.

But many others are disgusted by Woods, disappointed by him. They saw an inspirational figure drag the names of his family through the mud, turning his wife into a joke and creating headlines that his kids will have to live with the rest of their lives. He'll never stride through a gallery with the kind of adoring worship he enjoyed for so long. If you thought the fools hollering "get in the hole!" were bad, wait until you hear what people will start yelling now.

Millions of people will be thrilled to see Tiger return. But it's far from certain that he'll thrive in this world the way he did in the one that existed before November.

Star McGrady goes to Knicks in Kings’ trade

The Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks have reached agreement on a three-team trade that sends Tracy McGrady(notes) to New York.

The Rockets had struck a deal with the Kings late Wednesday to acquire Kevin Martin(notes), but expanded the trade to include the Knicks at the urging of McGrady’s agent Arn Tellem.

The completed trade will send McGrady and Kings point guard Sergio Rodriguez(notes) to New York. Houston lands Martin, Knicks forwards Jordan Hill(notes) and Jared Jeffries and draft picks to the Rockets. The Kings will receive Rockets forward Carl Landry(notes) and center Joey Dorsey(notes) and Knicks guard Larry Hughes(notes).

Other Popular Sports StoriesTiger to resume therapy after press conference Vonn upstaged by U.S. skier in super combined LeBron's Cavs have long winning streak snapped By trading Hill and Jeffries, the Knicks clear enough salary-cap space to potentially allow them to sign two star free agents this summer. In return, the Knicks will swap 2011 draft picks with the Rockets and send them their 2012 first-round selection. The 2011 pick is protected only for the first pick while the Rockets will get the Knicks’ 2012 selection provided it’s after No. 5.

McGrady’s agent, Arn Tellem, helped broker the trade. He also represents several Kings, including rookie star Tyreke Evans(notes). Tellem was involved with Houston and New York in discussions about a two-team trade between them, and sources say he was upset with Wednesday’s deal to Sacramento and worked diligently to include the Knicks in the trade.

Talks between the Rockets and Knicks regarding McGrady heated up over All-Star weekend. By Monday, as Yahoo! Sports first reported, the Rockets had settled on their asking price for McGrady and the burden of taking on Jeffries contract: Hill, the right to swap picks in 2011, the Knicks’ 2012 first-round selection and Hughes or Al Harrington to make the salaries match.

The Chicago Bulls also expressed interest in McGrady, and when talks with the Knicks began to stall while the teams haggled over the protection of the draft picks, the Rockets recruited the Kings for possible three-team scenarios. After a potential three-way deal was scuttled by the Bulls’ decision to trade John Salmons to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Rockets and Kings reached agreement on a deal for Martin that would send McGrady to Sacramento.

Tellem then went to work to expand the trade to include the Knicks.

McGrady hasn’t played since late December and has appeared in just six games this season with each appearance lasting fewer than eight minutes. The Knicks, however, most value his $23 million expiring contract. With McGrady coming off the books this summer, the Knicks will be major players in a free-agent market that includes LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Carlos Boozer and possibly Amar’e Stoudemire.

Martin told Y! Sports’ Marc Spears he will miss Sacramento, but was appreciative for the chance to play for a potential playoff team.

“It goes both ways,” Martin said by phone shortly after the trade. “Sacramento gave me an opportunity. I was a late first-round pick. I could have been playing overseas. I assumed they still loved me. I was the ‘Golden Child’ – that’s what Corliss Williamson used to say. I guess that’s the sad part.

“But it was time. I used to be the young guy playing with old guys. Now I’m the old guy playing with young guys. Let the young guys develop. I appreciate them letting me go to a playoff-caliber team at this time of my career.”

The Kings pulled Martin aside at halftime of Wednesday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors and told him he was being traded. Martin will be reunited with former Sacramento coach Rick Adelman.

“At halftime coach [Paul Westphal] said, ‘There is a trade involving you. You are the piece,” Martin said. “My first question was, ‘Who is the team?’ ‘Houston.’ I was good with it. It’s time to move on.

“I’m definitely excited for a new opportunity with my old coach. That’s the funny part.”

Rockets GM Daryl Morey has long been enamored with Martin, and kept pushing for a deal between the two teams. Morey knew Martin had become unhappy in Sacramento, sources said, and that the Kings shooting guard was struggling to adjust playing alongside rookie point guard Tyreke Evans. Martin didn’t feel like his talents were compatible with Evans, and struggled to defer to him.

The Dallas Mavericks also had serious interest in Martin, but abandoned those talks to complete a trade with the Washington Wizards for Caron Butler and Brendon Haywood on Saturday.

Morey didn’t have an easy time parting with Landry, a rugged, undersized forward who had come to personify the grit of these Rockets. Yet, the chance to secure a young, talented scorer for his offensively challenged roster was too much to pass up.

Martin’s addition comes with a price: He will make $46 million over the next three seasons. Martin, 27, also has missed at least 20 games in each of the past three seasons, including 32 this season because of a broken wrist.

Charlie Sheen car crashes after theft

LOS ANGELES (AFP) – A luxury car belonging to actor Charlie Sheen was found crashed in a Los Angeles ravine early Friday after having been reported as stolen by the troubled star, police said.

A team of firefighters found the wreckage of Sheen's Mercedes nestling 100 feet down a hillside on Mulholland Drive. No victim or passengers were discovered in the car, authorities said.

The search was launched after a cell phone caller told the California Highway Patrol early Friday that a black vehicle had gone over the side of the road, CHP Officer Patrick Kimball said.

Sheen reported his car stolen, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Bruce Borihanh said. "It is being investigated as an auto theft," Borihanh said.

Los Angeles police Chief Charlie Beck told KTLA television he "had no reason to disbelieve" Sheen's report of the car being stolen.

The incident comes as Sheen faces a court hearing in Aspen, Colorado on Monday in connection with a domestic violence incident in December.

Sheen, the star of Oscar-winning films such as "Platoon" and "Wall Street," is alleged to have attacked his wife of 19 months, Brooke Mueller, at a vacation home in Aspen on Christmas Day.

The 44-year-old, who also stars in the primetime television comedy series "Two And A Half Men," is expected to be charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault in connection with the incident.

Mueller, who was unhurt in the incident, has since indicated she does not want her husband to be prosecuted and is set to appear in court on Monday according to reports.

After several entanglements with the law in the 1990s in cases related to drugs, domestic violence and prostitution, Sheen is now one of the best-paid TV comedians thanks to "Two and a Half Men" and "Spin City."
Fire officials said they first received a call of a "vehicle over the side" of famed Mulholland Drive in the hills above Los Angeles at just after 4:00 a.m. (7:00 am edt/12:00 pm gmt), and immediately began a search.
